Colour INKspiration Blog Hop #CI08

Welcome to my blog and to the Colour INKspiration Blog Hop.
Colour INKspiration is a facebook group where you can play along every 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month and add your papercrafting projects as per the Colour Swatch assigned.
I am so happy to see that you have arrived from Tricia's blog,
and how fabulous was her project?

I know we are here for a Colour Challenge, but how adorable is the #CI08 photo swatch? It is the sweetest image.

OK, back to business...
Here is my creation using Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede,
Early Espresso & Very Vanilla.
And I have a Sneak peek of NEW products too...

 A little crate carrying notecards.
I was lucky enough to have attended OnStage Sydney where I won the 'Wood Words' stamp set, and I was able to order the 'Wood Crate Framelits Dies' as part of attending. What a bonus! And something to look forward to when the Annual Catalogue becomes available 1st June, 2017.

I started out stamping the 'Hardwood' Background stamp using 'Soft Suede' Classic Stampin' Pad onto 'Tip Top Taupe' cardstock.
Before adhering the crate together, I daubed some Soft Suede around the edges and some daubing to the tag as well.
*You can make 2 crates from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock.
Notecards. And Linen Thread with a bow.
Measurements: Card base 16cm x 8cm (Score at 8cm)
First mat: 7.6cm x 7.6cm
Very Vanilla mat 7.5cm x 7.5cm
And on the inside...

All wrapped up with the beautiful 'Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon'
and a tag 'For You'.

My notecard set in a crate all ready for gifting.

Thankyou for being here, and I hope I have inspired you with my project? Make sure you keep on blog hopping and visit the rest of the Colour INKspiration Crew. D x

Global Design Project - 'Theme Challenge' #gdp083

What a fun theme for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp083;
'Sparkles/Bling'.
Grab your Glimmer Paper, Glitter and Foil and join in the fun.

My creation is a little outside the square. It's a bit of Sparkles & Bling...

It's 'Tamatoa' from Disney's Moana! Well, a caricature of this 'Shiny' guy. He has a song; 'Shiny', and is possibly the most awful of creatures. But with such presence.
I had to get my (Retiring 😭) 'You're Sublime' stamp set  out and create this creepy crab.

*Tamatoa is a gargantuan coconut crab that hails from Lalotai, a realm inhabited by monsters. Tamatoa is known as a "beady-eyed bottom feeder", a social reputation he greatly despises. He covers his shell in gold, rare artifacts and treasures as a means to elevate his status, and this overcompensation soon became a crazed love for all things shiny.

'Shiny' is from the 'Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies'
I die cut the 'sunshine' & 'hope' dies in 'Gold Glimmer Paper' and made the 'y' from the 'hope' die and turned it upside down. I backed the Gold Glimmer with 'Basic Black' cardstock - die cut the same way.
Tamatoa's collection of sparkly 'Gold Sequins' looking very shiny too.

Those tentacles! A couple of thin strips of 'Perfect Plum' cardstock wrapped around a 'Stampin' Write Marker' to give them some movement.
The background is 'By The Shore DSP' stamped with (Retiring 😭) 'Gorgeous Grunge' stamp set and embossed with 'Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder' & 'Gold Stampin' Glitter'. Looking a little like Tamatoa's Lair.

Thankyou for visiting me today. I have unleashed my inner artist and I hope you have enjoyed my 'Tamatoa' as much as I had creating him.
Until next time. D x

Global Design Project - 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp082

I have a few Sneak peek items that I used in my creation for this weeks
Global Design Project #gdp082 'Sketch Challenge'.

I have 2 NEW stamp sets, 1 NEW In Colour, Glossy Paper, a NEW Punch
and NEW ribbon to show you.
Are you ready?

NEW Stamp sets: 'Just Add Text' and 'Wood Words'
NEW In Colours cardstock: 'Lemon Lime Twist'
NEW Glossy White cardstock
NEW 'Pretty Label' Punch
NEW Ribbon: 1cm (3/8") 'Peekaboo Peach' Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I wanted to incorporate 2 Colours from both of the 'In Colour' families, and I started out with the 'Peekaboo Peach' ribbon. The NEW 'Lemon Lime Twist' cardstock and the stamped floral image in 'Peekaboo Peach' make a lovely citrus combination.

I stamped the lovely 'Life is better with friends' sentiment with the 'Basic Gray Archival Stampin' Pad' onto the NEW 'Glossy cardstock', and punched out the sentiment with the NEW 'Pretty Label Punch'.
The layer behind the sentiment was punched in 'Basic Gray' cardstock, cut in half and adhered to the back of the sentiment.

When I was at OnStage last weekend, I came home with both of these stamp sets! I won the 'Just Add Text' in a Prize Patrol, and the 'Wood Words' was a giveaway at the end of the day.
As for the other products - they were sent to me in my 'Display Samples Products' Big Brown Box!
And that's a little part of why I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Thankyou so much for visiting, and I hope you liked seeing some Sneak peeks from the upcoming Annual Catalogue available 1st June, 2017.
See you soon. D x

Colour INKspiration Blog Hop #CI07

Hello, and welcome to my blog!
It's official and it's exciting; - tonight I am posting as a Crew Member for the Colour INKspiration #CI07 Colour Challenge!
And you have just visited our CI Guest Designer Jo Stubbings. Isn't her creation just awesome? Congratulations Jo!

The Crew consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7pm (AEDT), a new Colour Swatch is will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group
and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each Challenge with a Blog Hop.

Here is this fortnights divine Colour Palette...

With Easter coming up this weekend, I have kept with the Easter Theme from the #CI07 swatch.

I have used the 'Basket Bunch' Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue, for my creation. With 'Tip Top Taupe' cardstock for the cardbase and mat, I also used the 'In Colour 2015-2017 DSP Stack' for the polka dot background.
Stamped and die-cut images all daubed with coordinating ink for some Happy Easter fun.
And not forgetting the 'Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon'. So pretty.

'Mint Macaron', 'Daffodil Delight', 'Pink Pirouette' & 'Tip Top Taupe' are the perfect colour combination for an Easter Basket, Daffodils and Easter eggs.

Thankyou so much for visiting, and I hope you get the chance to play along with the Colour INKspirtion Challenge. I wish you and your family a 'Happy Easter'. D x

Next on the Blog Hop is my friend, Kim. Click on the 'Next Blog' button below to visit Kim's blog and enjoy hopping!
